Legal Question in Family Law in California

Reversing legal guardianship

Two years ago, I let my daughter (now she is 14 yrs) stay with her aunt for a school year, ever since, we have been trying to get her back but to no avail. I have noticed a big change in my daughter's personality. She wants to become gothic, she does not want to be a part of her brothers and sisters lives, and even to her parents. She is completly brain washed.

Recently when I tried to bring my daughter to visit me, her aunt did not let her come with me; and I was just surprised to find out that that her aunt has a temporary guardianship and she received it in three days without notifying me or her father. There is a hearing for petition for appointment of guardian of a minor in a month.

Now I would like to know

(1)How can I terminate the guardianship?

(2)How can I get my daughter back?

(3)Was it legal for her to gain guardianship so quick(in 3 days) without notifying us?

(4)What do I have to do to prepapare myself to get her back?

Re: Reversing legal guardianship

You need to retain an attorney to assist you is presenting your case. To be successful the temporary guardian should have to show that returning the child to you would be detrimental to the child.
