Legal Question in Family Law in California

My sister married my son's father and is not only trying to act as my son's mother but is social worker. I find this is unethical and they are both involving him in adult matters (sleeping with him in the same bed, telling him about court issues, not providing for his basic needs, etc.) I have a very expensive lawyer, but am in a county where the Familty court system is awful. Do I go after my sister directly since she's always on medication and I don't want my son unsupervised around her or parenting my son. Any help please...

You have not provided enough information to provide an informed response. The age of your son is a factor that must be taken into account. The fact that you sister is a social worker may give your ex an advantage. Don't allow her work as a social worker to become a major factor. Just continue to proceed as though she was not a social worker. Concentrate on your relationship with your child. Be careful not to give him the impression that you are looking for certain information from him. The facts that they are discussing the court action with him is a violation of the local standard for Santa Clara County. As to his sleeping with them that may or may not be a problem. It depends upon his age, and how often he sleeps with them. You should be discussing this with your attorney.
