Visiting Rights

I have court ordered visitation rights for my 2 daughters. It is stipulated that my ex inform me of addresses when she moves and vice versa. In '95 she moved and I have been unable to track her down. What outside of filing parental kidnapping can I do. Divorce and custody were through Shasta Co. Court and I now live in KY

Contact the district attorney in the county in which she last lived and ask for assistance in finding her. The normal procedure for the da is to contact her and request that she contact you and follow the court order for visitation. Charging child abduction is the last straw action taken by the da.

Have you tried using an internet service or private investigator? There's several listed on my book web site, www.yourdivorceadvisor.com. Click on "resources". If you really cannot find her, there's not much you can do. Maybe the police will be helpful if you file a parental kidnapping claim, but if you can't provide clues as to here whereabouts, it may be difficult to get them interested. Good luck!
