Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

Proof of Service error

This Monday I appear in Burbank, Ca. to defend myself (8:30am) in

a Petition for a Restraining Order. Even though the answer was filed and served properly, I forgot to take back the Proof of Service to the clerk to be filed. No time left to correct this. Any advice?

Re: Proof of Service error

Just bring it with you to court on Monday, along with copies for the plaintiff and for any other parties. Bring an extra copy for your records and have the clerk stamp it as evidence that you have filed the original.

Re: Proof of Service error

Shouldn't be a problem, bring the original proof of service to the hearing along with a few extra copies.
