Are you allowed to have a medical marijuana card and medicine while on probation in the state of California ?

I am aware of a recent Court of Appeal case which upheld a condition of probation prohibiting the defendant from using medical marijuana while on probation. If it is not a condition of your probation, my best guess is that it would be allowed.
