Generally your car insurance will pay for property damage and injury to other persons. Your coverage most likely does not cover your health care costs. You may however file a lawsuit in the event that the hydroplane and crash was caused by another party's negligence. For example, depending upon what road you were traveling, you may have a claim against the city/county or state DOT for improperly maintaining the roadway/failure to warn.
