Legal Question in Insurance Law in California
life insurance cancelled w/o my knowledge
My husband worked for a company out of Mass. He was supposed to have life insurance. The company didnt pay the bill and the life insurance was cancelled. No one notified us of this. My husband had cancer and just recently died. I also heard the company may be filing bankruptcy on Nov 1st 2006. What do I do?

You should gather together all papers you have about this policy and see a lawyer who is familiar with insurance matters. Sometimes the employer is the agent of the insurer, and the insurer might be held responsible for its actions (or inactions.)
