Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Employment Contract

My girlfriend has an employment contract that stipulates her receiving a base salary plus commissions. It is an ''at will'' contract. My girlfriend turned down other offers and accepted this one due to the generous compensation package. After about 4 months of employment and successfully passing the 90 day probation period, her employer on 1/15/09 gave her a new contract saying she must sign by 1/16/09 that eliminates her salary and work only on commission and if she fails to sign, her employment is terminated. She refused to sign. Do we have legal recourse for wrongful termination? She is not an outside salesperson. The other employment offers she turned down may no longer be available. The original contract states the following ''based on your performance the terms of your compensation can be subject to change by the President''. Her performance was never in question and there was no notice given (24 hours) and a reduction in salary to zero was offered.
