Legal Question in Employment Law in California

What to expect?

I have a case being investigated by the Labor Comissioners office for pay scale discrimination, denial of benefits, and hostile work environment. I dont have a lawyer. What does this investigation involve? Should I have a lawyer?

Re: What to expect?

Are you the employer or the employee? If you are the employer, yes, you need an attorney.

If you are the employee, there is no clear answer with the amount of information available.

Whether you are an employer or employee you need to have an attorney. if you are an employee after investigation they will issus you a right to sue notice. Then you have to file a lawsuit against the employer within one year of right to sue.
