Legal Question in Employment Law in California

I had a job in California where I telecommuted part-time for two years. I would receive paychecks via mail, once monthly. One day I traveled to South Korea and did not inform my boss, who sent me an email terminating my employment. He said that he would hold my check until I physically met with him. I informed him that I was unable to meet him because I am overseas. He maintained that he will not pay me until I visit him. It has been almost two months since, and I am still uncompensated for my services previously rendered.

Is there anything I can do?

Thanks in advance,

Nick

ps: zip code is for his city (mine is 94928)
