Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Law concerning personal saftey at work.

What is the law in regards my saftey concerning coworkers and management who show up for work when they are sick? I have been unecessarily exposed time and again to contagious disease such as flu, nasal infections, and really bad colds at my work place. I understand that sometimes people need to work even when they are under the weather sometimes, however at my work this has gotten out of control. I am a singer in a band after work and we do get payed. I lose money when I am sick and I believe that something needs to be done to stop this. I have a right to be healthy don't I?

Welcome to the real world. Seriously, you might talk to the co-workers and the others and tell them they're entitled to take sick days if they're sick. There are some products on the market that will tend to remove germs from the air. You might also consider the dramatic -- taking a page from Michael Jackson's book -- of wearing a particle mask.
