Non compete agreement

Are non compete laws enforceable in California as a condition of employment or as a condition of continued employment even if corporate offices are not located within the stata of California.

With limited exceptions, non-compete agreements are not enforceable in California. Refusal to hire or terminating an employee for not agreeing to sign a non-compete may be grounds for wrongful termination.
