Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Not paid for work done

I worked a temp job for 12 days and am owed $2160 (7-28 to 8-12-08). I have not been paid and was told by the accountant that he cannot say when I will be paid. What is a reasonable time to wait? Should I file in small claims or with labor board?

Re: Not paid for work done

A temporary worker must be paid the same date that their assignment is terminated. (current law -modification 1/1/09)

File a claim for your wages and waiting time penalties with your nearest DLSE office.
