Legal Question in Employment Law in California

My partner is getting harassed at her job by her supervisor. She is being touched inappropriately, bitten, grabbed, etc. By her female boss. She has reported it to the higher ups and nothing has been done. Now she is being asked to do unethical things such as erasing information in regards to the project and this is allowed by the subcommittee of her other superiors yet it has not gone through any proper legal channels and we have been asked to look for a lawyer. I am sorry for remaining vague but she works for a very well known name and I cannot risk her losing her job. I just Want to know what we can do.

It sounds like your partner is being sexually harassed, and her employer is failing to put a stop to the harassment and may be retaliating against her for complaining about the harassment. Not only is sexual harassment illegal, so is failure by the employer to prevent and remedy harassment and retaliation against an employee who complains about sexual harassment. If she hasnt already, your partner should put her complaints in writing and keep a copy. Please feel free call our office a call for a free consultation. Consultations are completely confidential. Our office number is (213) 536-4236.

It sounds like a pretty good sexual harassment claim as well as possible violation of whistle blowing laws. We would be interested in this case. Please ask your partner to call us at (310) 826-6300, ext. 50. She can also contact us through our site www.mesrianilaw.com . Time is of essence in these cases.
