physical abuse by a supervisor
I worked for a company in CA for over two years. during the time i worked there i was physically assaulted by a supervisor. I was pushed and held against a counter by her while a customer verbally abused and threatened me. I filed a written complaint to our general manager which was then turned over to another supervisor. A meeting was held in which she adnmitted to holding me there but made excuses as to why. I did not pursue this any further in reguards to getting an attorney because i was afraid of reprocussions at work. now that i no longer work there, do i have the right to sue them for abuse? It's my understanding that a supervisor cant put their hands on me for any reason. and nothing was done to keep her away from me after that.

you cansue for what is called a "battery" and you can also file a criminal complaint with the police.
