Legal Question in Employment Law in California

What rights do I have if a signed offer letter is rescinded

I have recently accepted a signed offer letter for a relocation with my company from a position I hold in Washington state to a new position in California state. The offer letter was signed by both the VP in California and the VP in Washington. Once the offer was finalized and signed off I placed in notice on my current position and began the process to relocate to California at my own expense. I had to pay to break my lease and have lost deposits on items such as the trailer rental etc. The company then rescinded the offer yesterday with only a week to go to my start date stating they had a change in business plan and cut the position. What are my rights regarding the rescinding of the signed, official offer and also what are my rights in reference to the money I have lost to do the relocate?

I would say you have a good case of breach of contract and you should recover all your losses.
