Legal Question in Employment Law in California

My workplace/ boss requires me to use my personal cell phone for work related matters without compensating me for my cell phone use. Is this legal?

Probably not, but what is the actual cost to you? If there is no quantifiable cost, then you really don't have any basis for a claim.
