Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in California

arbitration

I have been named as a defendant on a lawsuit against a hospital that my brother started. I did not want to be a part of this situation or suit. Is this legal, how can I get out of it, now arbitration hearing in three days, I can not go nor do I want too. Also supposed to fill out an interogatory. Why, do I have to? How can I get my name off suit, I received notice to appear at arbitration meeting, can I ignore it

Re: arbitration

do not ignore the summons to appear as it could result in a default against you. however, if your brother does not have standing to sue you or you do not have culpability, there are motions that can be filed to possibly prevent any undue liability on your part. email me with more facts asap and i may be able to assist you.

Re: arbitration

Do you have an attorney, speak to him/her. There may be a motion that could have you removed. Also, the insurance may cover you depending on their reason for naming you.
