Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in California

Mother Died From Staph Infection

Dear Sirs or Madam,

I have recently lost mother (12/20/05) due to a lenghthy battle against a Staph infection that occured around the time she he had a pace maker installed and/or had chemo.

She was 65 and had been recieving cancer treatments for bone cancer for almost 10 years. She was a lively woman who did housework, painted, shopped, gardened and everything else a woman of her age would do.

She passed out one night due to her heart slowing down, almost stopping, she had been getting headaches for several weeks. So we sent her to th ER. Her Doc decided she needed a pacemaker. After the surgery She came home and was weak but on her way to recovery. Then a few days later she went to get Chemo she got very ill and was rushed to the ER and was almost dead by the next day. They said she had aquired Staph. They finally decided to remove her 5yr old porta- cath. She came out of her sickness a few days after Blood trans and antibiotics. She came home after several days and was barely able to do anything for herself. Then after a few days at home, the Staph was back. She went back for weeks.. same thing now with IV food, then she came home and a week later went back and died.

We feel we have been wronged, Please help

Re: Mother Died From Staph Infection

Maybe, but keep an open mind. The only way to determine if you have a case worth pursuing is to have all of mom's medical records reviewed by experts. It will cost several thousand dollars to adequately analyze the medical side of the case. If you are willing to make that investment, any qualified med mal lawyer will handle the legal work on contingency.

If you want to pursue the matter feel free to contact me or anyone else on this panel.

Medical malpractice suits can be very complicated, even though it may seem straightforward from a layperson perspective. Unfortunately, expert opinion/witnesses "make or break" the case for the most part, and retention of such experts is usually QUITE costly. With this in mind, if you would like to move forward in this very sad and unfortunate legal and personal matter, contact us this week for a free phone consultation.
