Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

After 9/11 I donated eggs at NYU to get out of debt quick. Can I be protected from people in social circles calling me an egg donor?

I do not see the problem in being called an egg donor. You could be proud of that, since you are helping people. It would not be defamation, since it is a true statement. It could be public disclosure of a private fact, and you could sue them for that.
