Is there a case here?

My son bought a blended coffee from a coffee store and found a mangled razor blade knife in it. What should his course of action be?

Well, if he wasn't injured, there isn't any action except to advise and complain to the store. They should be gracious, apologize and offer free coupons or something as PR. If he was injured, and can prove it, he can pursue a claim for personl injury.

Mr. Nelson's initial reply is absolutely correct. If there is no injury, send the company the item with a letter expressing your dismay at finding such an item in their product. If there was an injury, seek out an attorney specializing in personal injury cases.

First thing would be to contact the police. If there is no physical injury and your son is not a young, ultra-sensitive person, then an emotional distress claim won't go very far.
