Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

My children's doctor gave my employee false information that caused me to be terminated. I have evidence that shows she did not tell the truth but my employer and arbitrator felt that a doctor would not lie. The arbitrator upheld the companies decision to terminate me but the doctor was never used as a witness. Just the information that she provided to the company. Can I sue the doctor for personal injury since her false statements caused me to loose my income?

It depends on what your doctor said. The first thing however is that it seems that the good doctor violated the doctor-patient privilege unless they had some duty to inform your employer which I can't imagine They might have had a duty to report you to the authorities but certainly not your employer unless you deal with children and what you allegedly did to your children would be considered a danger to other children.

You may call my office for a free consultation if you would care to discuss your situation further.

Good luck and hope that helps.
