Civil suit against ex-boyfriend
I want to file a civil suit against an ex-boyfriend for a past sexual assault and resulting emotional suffering. I have a psychiatrist treating me. I want to send a demand letter. Can I write it, considering I am planning on asking over $100k in damages?

Why not? Just don't expect him to respond favorably. Be aware that there is a statute of limitations. You may also want to talk to a detective about making a criminal complaint.
