Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

I fell down the stairs at Anaheim Stadium over 5 years ago when they dimmed the lights. I had an attorney but he withdrew. Recently I was informed that I had all the facts wrong. They turned out the lights for Opening Ceremony Fireworks and Lazer show. According to one of the witness that saw me tumble down the stairs, stated there was no WARNING. The reason why I'd like to know if there is anything I can do is I am still in pain. My life and the things I used to do are limited and have been ever since the accident. Can someone please let me know. Thank you for your time.

You had at most two years to bring a lawsuit. If you didn't, too bad, and its too late to do so now. If you did timely file suit, your case would have to have been settled or tried by now under the court rules. If it hasn't, then it has probably been dismissed for lack of prosecution. When your attorney withdrew you were responsible for prosecuting the case. If you filed, check the court files to determine what happened with the case. Sounds like you let it lapse and die.
