Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

If i don't win case i don't pay anything!

I was working with a lawyer for almost 2 years when he decided to drop my case. They said it was not going anywhere. They sent a letter to the chiropractor that they can go after me for the bill for my treatments even thought the lawyer sent me to them and i was told i don't pay if i don't win my case. Do i need to pay the chiropractor even though i didn't request them and the lawyer decided to drop my case?

Your question is a bit more complex than can be dealt with on these pages.

Something is missing.

Reread your contingency fee agreement carefully, then resubmit with more facts.

One needs to examine the written retainer agreement. Ordinarily the lawyers fees are at risk, not the fees of the treating health care providers. That is normally not provided on a contingency.
