Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

WHAT RIGHTS DO I HAVE AS A PROPERTY OWNER AGAINST A PROPERTY MANGANGEMENT COMPANY THAT HAS THREATENED TO PUT A LEIN ON MY CONDOMINIUM WITHOUT ALLOWING ME TO MAKE PROPER ARRAINGEMENTS TO PAY 2 ASSESMENTS THAT WERE NOT PAID, ONE WAS PAID BUT NOT PROPERLY HANDLED BY PREVIOUS MNGMNT COMP PYMNT WAS LOST AND THE SECOND, I THOUGHT I MADE BUT PER MY ERROR DID NOT MAKE. SO THAT MAKES TWO ASSESMENTS THAT ARE OWING FOR APROX $476.00 WHICH INCLUDES LATE FEES FOR MAY 09. THE TOTAL THEY ARE GOING AFTER ME IS $1,100.00. WHAT CAN I DO?? PLEASE HELP ME

You either resolve it by agreement, or they lien the property if they think they have a right to. If you want to get counsel to intervene, feel free to contact me, but the amount in question makes that a value judgment for you - cost vs benefit analysis.
