Quick question-
Are hugs against any sexual harassment laws? My general manager was not happy when she found out that I was giving a hug to our very happy, very sweet, maintence man. What's the deal?

Such conduct would not be considered sexual harassment unless it was truly unwanted. Sounds like they are being overly cautious.
