Legal Question in Traffic Law in California

Driving Without License

Hi,

My wife has received a citation for below offenses

12500(A) - Unlicensed Driver Misdemeanor

16025(A)2 - No Proof of Insurance - Infraction

She was driving a car for which registered owner is my friend. Insurance policy has my friends name and my name as rated driver and my wifes name as excluded driver.

She is on an H-4 visa and staying in California since September end.

The car has been impounded for 30 days. And she has been asked to appear before court.

My wife has a valid Indian license.

Is there a way to get the charges on her revoked/ reduce the fine?

Is there a way to get car back before 30 days?

The accident involved my car and two other cars. My insurance has said they will not be covering anything. What are my options here?

Re: Driving Without License

Since your wife will be deported and you were the one who let her drive, you will have to pay all the damages from the accident and the costs of towing and impound, probably $50000 total.
