Legal Question in Traffic Law in California

Passing on double yellow

I have two questions.

1) I was cited for passing on a double yellow. Most intersections only have a solid yellow when approaching, but this one had a solid yellow when leaving as well. There are no cross streets or blind spots, so I would like to argue that there is no need for the solid yellow line. What are my chances?

2) I recently moved and my license address was not updated, however, my registration address is correct. The officer wrote my old address on the ticket and then checked the box saying my registration address is the same, even though my registration clearly shows my new address. Should I do anything about this?

Nolo Press publishes a book titled How to Fight Your Traffic Ticket. You can get this book online. It will answer your questions regarding how to fight this traffic ticket. The discrepency in the address on the ticket is unlikely to be a valid defense.
