Legal Question in Traffic Law in California
Are revenue-based only tickets legal?
I was given a ticket for a municipal code violation--
riding a bicycle on a sidewalk--which occurred outside
of a closed for the evening school. The cops powers of observation were pretty poor, with them initially
claiming I was on a different street. I repeatedly
accused them of ticketing me strictly for revenue purposes, which they never denied....What would be a good way to fight this ''revenue purposes only'' charge?
Thank you.
