Legal Question in Traffic Law in California

Getting a Subpoenafor a 911 tape for a traffic accident

In April 2005 I had a major traffic accident. I had a witness. Two CHP officers showed up. They stated there was no witness and also stated there was nobody else there at all except me and the other vehicle. I have been pushing and three weeks ago, they finally said there was a man there but he wasn't a witness. He showed up when they did to help out. I still can't get his name or phone number. The witness told me before I was taken home by the CHP officer (who was angry he was having to do it) to call him as a witness. Almost all of the report was falsified. My witness called 911. Gave his name and phone number. It's too late to go after the truck company because of the CHP. It's been a year of fighting to get information. I need to get the 911 tape to move forward against the CHP officers and the Department.

Thank You

Well first off the standard lawyer response: Why would you be handling a major PI case without a lawyer?

You need to subpoena the 911 tapes. If you have not yet filed an action, you can also do a request under the freedom of information act.
