Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

Living Wills, is any part public info?

I have been trying to locate an individual to whom the address as listed is ontrusted to another party in a living will. The person I am seeking would be very old, either in a nursing home or perhaps deceased.

I have the name/address of the person to whom the estate is intrusted to, but have not been able to make contact via mail.. wondering if any part of that living will document is considered public info?

It sounds as if you are talking about a living trust, not a living will. A living will generally has to do with health care, and a living trust has to do with property.

Generally, a living trust is not a matter of public record. However, if you have the address of a property that is now in the truse, you can research the county records to see who deeded the property to the trust. That should be the party you are looking for.

A Living Will and Living Trust are very different. A Living Will has to do with on aspect of health care. A Living (Family and/or Intervivos) Trust has to do with holding property.
