Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

Victor, let me try again.We have gone throught the probate courts.The property was sold & all the moneys have be in the bank account 1-15-2013.All bill etc. have been paid no this estate.All that needs to be done in my eyes now is for the money to be put on the paper work that tells the court who gets how much & so on.Would like to know how long it would take to after everything else is done about how long that will take then go back to the court for them to ok.So that we can all get our money.It has been over 5yrs. for us to get the estate back.Hope you can understand what I am trying to say this time as I have been unable to get an answer to this question.Thank you very much for your time and help. Thank you for the explanation. Have all or any tax clearance been obtained? Are you the executor or a beneficiary? If you are the executor, then you need to consult with the attorney to obtain a definite list of any remaining items that need to be completed, if any. The length of time you are stating seems to be excessively long, but there may have been reasons for that, such as disposable of assets to convert to cash to satisfy beneficiary distributions. If you are a beneficiary, and you are not getting a straight answer to your questions from the executor, then you are advised to seek an independent consultation for beneficiary representation to make a demand for information from the executor or counsel for the executor as what steps are necessary to complete distribution and closing of the estate.. Not seeing your file, I cannot answer your question as to what the holdup re the distribution of funds.
