Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

I got injured about 10 yrs ago from a disc in the lower part of my back, I recently got injured at work differnt disc between 4-5 disc, I recently had my ame eval and the doctor attribute my new injury to my old injury according to the laws in california is this correct?
