Cancelation of passport

I lived in the USA for 20 years, never became a citizen, just a permanent resident. I am now in Canada, permanent resident & resigned the USA residency.

Can the USA goverment cancel my Mexican passport and Canadian drivers license?

Re: Cancelation of passport

What jurisdiction would the USA have over a Mexican passport or a Canadian driver's licence. Only Mexican and Canadian authorities, respectively, would have such jurisdiction.

Re: Cancelation of passport

As to your Mexican passport, you would have to inquire of the Mexican government. As to a "Canadian" drivers licence, there is no such thing; each Province issuues its own and may handle inter-jurisdictional matters differently from another Province. If it was a British Columbia driver's licence then you would have had to turn it in when you obtained your driver's licence from whatever State you lived in, and that State would normally return it to B.C. or destroy it advising B.C. that it had done so. The reason is simple - you were not longer a B.C. resident. On your return to British Columbia, you would take your State licence to an ICBC office and ask to have a B.C. licence instead (assuming the State was one which has reciprocity with B.C.). So the U.S. government or State would not have cancelled your B.C. licence; B.C. would have as you were no longer entitled to one.
