The law governing divorce is federal but each province has its own rules on how to proceed. You have not given enough information to provide more than a cursory oveview; what you can do or in some cases must do, depends on a number of factors, such as whether there are children, and if so, the specific arrangements made for their care and support; your and your wife's ages, occupations and earnings/earning power; assets you may have jointly, and several other factors. A Civil Claim for Divorce must be commenced int he Supreme Court of British, but what is included or not is dependant on the factors above (and others). You should consult a lawyer. Many lawyers will provide a consultation without fee or obligation. At the intiial consultation, after learning the specifics of your situation the lawyer should be better able to give you an idea of cost and time involved.
