Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado

Shoplifting mistake

A friend of mine recently stole something as was caught doing it. i was with him and I knew he was going to do it but i didn't stop him. I thought I couldn't get in trouble because I didn't steal anything. I didn't help him in anyway and I know I should have stopped him. It was the dumbest thing I've ever done. I've never been in any trouble before and I was wondering if I'm going to lose my job over this or something like that? I also wanted to know if there is anyone who is willing to help me through this... i need some legal help and I don't want this mistake to ruin my entire life and carrer. Please help... Thank you!
