Legal Question in DUI Law in Colorado

DUI other state

I live in NY and ws visiting Colorodo, where I was pulled over. Offocer claims I was going 50 in a 45. He never showed me a radar. I was on the road for less than 3 minutes, just leaving a restaurant, had 2 drinks. I did the walk test and passed, and officer claims I failed eye test? The breathalizer did not work, so he handcuffed me and took me in to take breathalizer. I got a .7, my car was towed. I was released immediately, given back my liscence and was given a summons to court in 2 months.

What will I have to pay? Do they take my liscence away? what are the consequenses and waht happens if I dont go back to this state for court. Will I just be in trouble in that state?

Re: DUI other state

You should hire an attorney to represent you. We do represent out of staters just like you.

You have a pretty good case.

However, if you do not go back or hire an attorney to represent you a bench warrant will be issued and you could possibly be arrested.

Please contact my office to help you in this matter.

Re: DUI other state

Last question first. If you don't take care of the case, eventually a hold will be placed on your DL so that no state will issue a new one. Next, depending on where this incident occurred and your prior record you could face a jail sentence, about $800 to 1500 in fines and costs, community service and alcohol classes. Normally, your license would not be taken at a 0.07 BAC ( I assume it is 0.07 not 0.7 as you'd be dead at the latter.) Try my website dui-advisor.com for more info.
