Legal Question in DUI Law in Colorado

DWAI Charges

What are the chances of getting the alcohol charge removed in Denver (I blew a .072)? There was no reckless driving. I was accused of speeding but was never shown the radar and contend that I was not speeding. Also, how much on average am I looking at spending on a lawyer to defend me in this matter?

Well, lots of variables, but if no priors and otherwise good facts, you have a shot at a non-alc. The problem is that Denver has started being tougher on these cases recently. So, the equation is a little hard to determine.

As for the amount - good attorneys will be 7-10g thru trial, and many plea attorneys will be very 1500 or so, but you get what you pay for.

I bill by the hour, so most pleas are 2000 or so unless we have to go to motions and/or trial

Your chances on getting the charges dropped depend on the facts of your case. E.g., did the police officer who stopped you do everything he or she was supposed to do? I give free consultations - call me when you have about a half hour to go over things. 303.806.5104
