Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Colorado
Tenant/Landlord issue
I moved out of my apartment in December 2007, in January 2008, I still had not heard from my landlord regarding my security deposit. I went up to Fort Collins, talked with him, he gave me an ''estimate'' of what I Would owe. Well it is now March after 90 days and have not receieved a statement or my security deposit back. I know bout the ''demand letter'' and was wondering even though I recieved an ''estimate'' and we had talked, can I still send him that letter this week demanding my money back?? Any help would be great!

Re: Tenant/Landlord issue
Morning,
Generally, yes you should send out the demand letter. The talking does not negate their duties under the statute.
Good luck.
