Legal Question in Consumer Law in Connecticut

Possible mouse feces found in food product

I contacted Campbell's Soup Co about what I had found on the inside lid of a Spaghettios can. They thanked me, sent me $10 in coupons and an envelope to retrieve the specimen. It was Jan 30,2007 and they responded on the 3rd of Feb via phone. I froze the can after the feces fell in when looking for data on the bottom of can and Im not sure if I should just send it to them. Im really grossed out by the whole event. I have three sons and run an accredited family daycare in my home. Campbells is a household name, Yet its just not the same anymore. Please advise if I should just send back this can or scout other avenues.

Did you or anyone else eat any of the spaghettios before you discovered the possible mouse feces? If so, this is a much more serious case than discovering the feces prior to any ingestion.

Please feel free to contact me if you would like to discuss this further. There is no fee for this consultation.

There are other ways to go about this than simply sending the can back. As a consumer you are entitled to safe products. You are certainly entitled to other avenues other than returning the can.

If you would like, you can contact me at [email protected] and I will respond as soon as possible.
