My Boyfriend has not been home in 4 nights. There are problems with some violence issues. Can I change the locks and remove his belongings from my appartment. He pays no rent nor helps with any household business

Re: Domestic living situation

You could, however, you also could face charges of "criminal lockout." If he has been living there and it's been his home you could be arrested. Although, I have never seen anyone arrested for this crime, it could happen.

Your best bet is to go down the the local police station and talk to a sargent. See what they suggest. Every police department has a different policy in how they treat these situations.

Don't you know someone who could talk to him and get him to agree to remove his belongings?
