''judgement offered''

i'm involved in suing an amusement park for the death of my son, and i been suing for 2yrs. now, i just wanted to know what judgement offered means?

I don't know about CT, but in VA, it doesn't mean anything special. My guess is that the defendant is offering to settle for less than you're demanding, and is willing to accept a judgment against it in the lesser amount. If that supposition is true, it means that you're not getting money as a result of a settlement, you're getting the right to collect (if you can). You do have an attorney, right? Is there a reason why you feel you can't ask your attorney about this?
