Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Connecticut

Larceny 6th

This is my first offense. I am 20 years old and am charged with 6th degree larceny (under $20 worth of merchandise). If I am representing myself what is the best way to defend myself? How long do these case proceedings usually take? I am coming home for the court date, but I go to school in DC, will I have to come back for community service or another court date? Please help! I'm really nervous.

The best way to defend yourself is to either apply for a public defender or obtain a private attorney. While the larceny charge is a misdeameanor, it can result in a mark on your record if not handled correctly. If you need further help, you can email me at [email protected]

Re: Larceny 6th

You chose the wrong category. This is not an issue regarding civil litigation. This is a criminal matter. If you want a criminal attorney to respond you need to choose criminal as the category.
