Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Connecticut

My daughter broke her lease in Connecticut but she is making monthly payments, the property management is demanding she turns the electricity back on under her name until new tenants, please advise.

I'd have to see what the lease says, but it usually says "tenant responsible for the following utilities:......electricity". If that's so, I don't think she has to put it in her name and turn it on. Tell them to let her out of the lease and they can get the new tenant to turn it on.

Unless the lease says she has to keep it on if she isn't there I don't think she has to.
