Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Connecticut

Easment

I went into a purchase agreement to buy a home. I found out that that two-thirds of the property was being used as a parking lot by the development next door. Both the home and the development are owned by the same investment group. They say they have a reciprocal easment which allows them to use the property as a parking lot. This parking lot is also fenced off from the home it belongs to but the buyer of the home would still have to pay taxes on that property. Is this legal? Can the lines be redrawn to separate the parking space and thus remove our tax and other liabilites to that portion? I haven't purchased the home yet and they haven't signed the agreement yet.

Re: Easment

If both parties to the easement agree to terminate it, fine. If not, it can't be changed.
