Legal Question in Immigration Law in District of Columbia

Time of Application

Hi-

I have been a permanent resident for four years now. I am intending to apply for citizenship ASAP. I know the eligibility requirement is 5 years, but are there any waivers for that regulation? If no, then how soon can I apply? For example, if I will complete the 5 years requirement in June 2003, could I apply from February 2003?

Re: Time of Application

dear client:

you can file your N-400 up to 3 months in advance. so for example if you complete your 5 years on June 15th, then you can apply on March 15th.

Good luck to you.
