If you are in a contract with a promomotion company and that company closes is your contract with them null and void especially since there is no record of said company

Under some circumstances the individuals who signed the contract with you can be held responsible for damages that arise from the contract. You would have to prove your actual damages, however. You would also want to make sure that the persons you are going after are collectable as you do not want to throw good money after bad, so to speak.
As a Franchise Attorney I can say you need to show the contract you signed to an attorney. If the company is out of business, then they can't perform their end of the contract. But consult with a good business or franchise attorney in your area for specific advice.
