Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida

my last months rent.

I recently bought a house in florida and someone told me that there is a florida statute that says if you purchase land and are moving out of an apartment you do not have to pay the remainder of your lease. Is this true??

Obviously that someone is not an attorney. There is no such law. If you break your lease you can be sued by your landlord and will be held responsible. Your best bet is to try and negotiate a release.

No, it is not true. Buying land does not mean that you can cheat the person you rent from out of what you contracted with him or her to pay.
