Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida

I signed up for an online medical coding school(CBT Direct) and agreed to terms, gave my credit card # and they billed $800. I then tried to Google CBT Direct to access the program and found many web pages claiming they were scam artists. So I then that evening called my credit card company and asked them to stop payment. I then emailed the school and told them to cancel, and called the school the next day and told them to cancel the transaction. Now 20 days later CBT is still trying to bill my credit card $800.

Send a letter to your credit card company. Be sure to send it to the address on the BACK of your bill and not to the payment processing center. Tell the credit card company that you are disputing the $800 charge by CBT. You may also want to notify the BBB in whatever state CBT is doing business.
